Smokin’ Style Outlaws
Happy 43rd Anniversary, Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid! Outlaw style never looked so good.
It doesn’t get much better than Redford and Newman in cowboy-esque train-robbing threads. Who else could pull off those hats and cowboy boots with blazers? Giddyup.
After wearing out their welcome in the Wild West, this tough twosome sets out for Bolivia with a motley crew nipping at their spurs.
“Wanted” men indeed.
As schoolteacher Etta Place, the lovely Katharine Ross is one lucky little lady and hits the gene-pool jackpot with her pistol packin’ travel companions.
In the famous bicycle scene Etta wakes up and leaves a slumbering Sundance to be serenaded by Butch on an early morning bike ride. Poor thing. I love that scene, and it’s even better knowing that Newman ad-libbed most of it.
“Boy, I got vision, and the rest of the world wears bifocals.” ~Butch Cassidy
