Fashion Mashup!

A fashion mashup is slated for this holiday season and it’s poised to pack a pretty punch! Department store doyenne Neiman Marcus has collaborated with mass-market maven Target to bring a fabulous 50-piece collection to their stores and online December 1st. “This is kind of groundbreaking,” Neiman Marcus’s president and CEO, Karen Katz, told WWD. “We’ve set the stage for a redefining moment in retail,” agreed Gregg Steinhafel, Target’s President and CEO.

The collection will include clothing (for men, women and children), accessories, sporting, pet and home goods. The cost of items will range from $7.99 – $499, but most will be under $60. Can’t wait to see what they have up their leather-gloved sleeve!

The icing on the cupcake? Designers include CFDA superstars Diane von Furstenberg, Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, Derek Lam, Jason Wu, Marc Jacobs, Altuzarra, Band of Outsiders, Brian Atwood, Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler, Rag & Bone, Robert Rodriguez, Rodarte, Marchesa, Tory Burch, Alice + Olivia, Judith Leiber, and Tracy Reese.

In addition to creating a festive frenzy of fashion, Target and Neiman Marcus will donate a total of $1 million dollars to the CFDA. “I can think of no better finale to CFDA’s 50th anniversary celebration than through this extraordinary designer collaboration,” said CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg.

Color me crazy-excited like Target Lady for this collaboration!
