Shake Those Booties
“I don’t know who invented high heels, but all women owe him a lot.” ~Marilyn Monroe
Post-Labor Day blues got you down, darlings? This grey day certainly doesn’t help either. After a sneezing fit this morning I realized that I must be allergic to gloomy weather. Le sigh. If you’re already reminiscing about sunny beach days and fun summer nights gone by (like moi) – here’s something fun to look forward to: fall fashion. Specifically, kick-worthy booties.
Don’t get me wrong – I still adore my OTK black leather 50/50’s, and I’m counting the minutes ‘til it’s cool enough for me to rock them again, but this girl has room for a bevy of boots in her closet.
The Stuart Weitzman 50/50 OTK boot:
A shorter, just-as-sassy alternative to her OTK sisters, the booties of 2011 boast suede, leather, glitter, animal print and fur spanning the Roy G. Biv spectrum. I prefer to rock them with a mini, and they look très chic paired with tights, maxi dresses/skirts, and skinnies.
Olivia Palermo: one of my fave fashion icons and champion of the bootie.
To brighten your day, here’s a sampling of some eye candy for your tootsies this fall – perfect for shaking your booties and dancing the autumn nights away.
